Matute Saint Paul reviews
Russell Could Have Been Better
Alingon Mitra delivered a fantastic opening act, showcasing 25 minutes of material that did not come at the expense or embarrassment of the audience. I believe his future as a comedian is promising. Matute, who followed, presented a 90-minute set with a significant portion of his performance focusing on improv comedy directed at audience members in the initial rows. His show could have been enhanced had he stuck to his own original content rather than potentially embarrassing various individuals in the audience. While the act leaned towards explicit content, which personally did not offend me, those sensitive to sexual jokes or stereotypes about Indian behaviors should take caution. Although it made for an entertaining night out, I suggest avoiding the front rows unless you are prepared to possibly become a target of Matute's routine.
